Daniel Black posted this to the contact page. Please comment away!

domain: http://www.usachatnow.com

I am stuck in some kind of google filter (penalty) I have been under this penalty since feb 24th 2009. I have done lots of things to the site since then with no results. I need to figure out what the problem is. I would love for you guys to help me.

Do you have other sites? Are they interlinked?

These are 2 of the starting points for compliance discovery.

If you have multiple sites and they are inappropriately linking to each other, this by itself can trigger this suppression.

How did you combine them, by redirecting them all? What are the other sites? Without details we can't help you.

Give us the details about how this site got penalized. What specific ranks were lost?

Please be more forthcoming if you expect us to find your problem. Sketchy info is not going to get us anywhere.

Linkdomain searches in Yahoo are showing about 3,000 inbounds. Are all these natural, or did you buy some of these? If you bought them, do you have a record so you can remove them if it turns out that this is the issue?

I removed all paid links. The only existing links are link I have no control over meaning there is no way to reach the webmaster. But truthfully most of the links that are out there arent even paid links they are just links that were put out there by the webmaster.

one of the 3 i drected to the main site the other one i redirected then decided to remove the redirect because of all the links it has and then i closed the domain. Now all 3 sites are as one.

My domain is usachatnow.com my trademark is usachatnow. usachatnow is also located between page 5 and 7. The keyword free chat rooms and chat are my main keywords. They are also stuck between page 5 and 7.

this whole thing is just unreal. I have spent thousands of dollars with seo's. I have posted in googles webmasters forum and no one gets this. The hardest part about all of this is no one knows anything about why google has this filter on my site. I am just blown away that a site can get in this sitiuation and there is no answer for it. You just got to deal with getting hits to your site else where.

You really have not revealed very much information. Very possibly the penalty is a consequence of domain level conflicts, ownership issues, or both. If you have a lot of domains, and some link to this one, that by itself can trigger this penalty. Isolate the site completely from your other domains, and then file for reconsideration.

This is pretty much the same thing I am getting from other places. People can not figure it out. I am think even the most experienced person outh there that analizes google will be stumped when it comes to my site :(

Explain, very specifically, how you combined your 3 sites into one. The way you did that can also trigger a penalty if they all appear to be one site due to DNS from all three pointing into the same directory. You really can't expect expert help unless you provide details on how you handled the redirection. Show us the code. Show us the domains. Don't just complain you're not getting help.

Everything we did was correct. If you review the site you will see everything is set up the way google expects it to be. We no longer have redirects from the past domains. I have no errors in google webmasters. All links pointed to other sites have no-follow tags. My community use to generate 302's which we have fixed. There is nothing wrong with the site. I have used slueth and fixed all errors it found. I mean there is just nothing more that can be done on the site. Google webmasters shows everything fixed. You can review the site to see. I truly believe google has put a manual penalty on the site and there is nothing anyone can do to release it and no matter what I do it remains.

One thing you may not realize is that old paid links, especially from link seller sites that have been long flagged as sellers can harm your ranks if you do not cleanse them. And you are responsible for getting every one of these toxic links. Even when the link is on a platform that does not respond to removal requests. However, if you carefully document an exhaustive removal effort - post an html page showing your work and include a link from your reconsideration request so Google folks can see your effort. That has worked for us in clearing what looked at times like hopeless cases. But you really have to do and show your work in detail. List every attempt, include date stamps, the removal requests, responses or lack, etc.

How weird is this, my site has gone from a PR4 to a PR5 and still in the same situation. My trademark and all my keywords are caught between page 5 and 7. The worst part of this is absoulutely no one knows why! I've even done the hey we can fix this just pay us 200 an hour with no results. It's been two years dealing with this. Now my site is higher then ever ever in PR rating yet I am still being filtered. Is there anyone and I mean anyone out there that is capable of answering this???????????????????????????
